which is better ED or RD??

i know that people who have their first choice college should do ED to their schools...besides those people, people like me who are not ready to commit to one school yet......
is it more risky or worse to apply to lots of schools as RD??
I hear that people who did RD regret that they should've done ED to somewhere......
i'm just gonna do EA somewhere and do RD to lots of schools.....
the chances of getting into ivies or top colleges decreases if i do RD?????
i do not want to get rejected from every college that is tough to get into and end up going to a safety school....because i didn't do ED.....you know what i'm saying??.....i'm confused someone help me!!

It is not a good safety school unless you'd enjoy going there. Often times, if they choose well, folks find their safety schools were better choices for them than their reaches would have been.

Just do early action for all colleges that have that option (your not making a commitment with EA) & u have the same advantages as ED...there you go

I applied to Dartmouth ED because my SAT scores were significantly higher than my GPA. I figured that since SAT scores matter so much in the rankings, schools would be eager to grab a high score with a shaky GPA if that person were obligated to attend.

I would be happy to discuss my process with you in more detail if you want.
