Which is better for a large high school campus: wheelie or regular backpacks?

I have a pretty big high school campus, but there are only a handful of kids that use a rolling backpack. There’s one of those unspoken social rules that rolling backpack kids= weird.

If you respect yourself, please get a “regular” backpack :)

I like your backpack very much.

^^Gen1 truly was a trendsetter in awful color schemes.

^I take it you are one of us?

Just get a regular backpack and a strategically placed locker. Wheelies are inconvenient and bulky and it will be hard to get around a populous school with one.

Just so you know my earlier post was a joke. Rolling backpacks are not sexy and you’ll probably end up being taunted mercilessly throughout your high school career. Fortunately I’ve found a backpack that will allow you to hide your shame:

But if you take my advice now you can avoid the trouble. Get one like mine: http://f00.inventorspot.com/images/seat.img_assist_custom.jpg</a>
(here’s a picture of it being worn by my mysterious and handsome boyfriend):

You won’t even need to push your desk chair around campus.

wheelie…if you want to be the laughing stock of the school, be bullied, and have no friends besides the creepy girl everyone pretends isn’t there…

…perfect thread for me…i am the only one in the school with a rolly backpack n some kids do make fun of me on a daily basis (nothing major though just sarcastic comments lyk: nice backpack, etc)…i don’t really mind tbh…i carry way too many books n having a rolly backpack makes it so much easier to move around the school
"wheelie…if you want to be the laughing stock of the school, be bullied, and have no friends besides the creepy girl everyone pretends isn’t there… " i am not bullied and i have a lot of friends so …that statement doesn’t hold true for all

Highly incoherent response.

Get away from l337 speak.

Forgo the backpack and just carry your books. Our school doesn’t allow students to carry bags around, so you have to just hold your books, etc. It does keep you from bringing around extra stuff you don’t need.

Otherwise, just get a regular backpack.

Do you mean big as in your campus having a lot of space or big as in a large student population? If you have a lot of space go with the wheelie.

The campus at my school is no longer big enough for the number of students we have so no one uses wheelies since they take up too much space and there’s no way to prevent it from hitting people since its to overcrowded. Though if you have a lot of space around I don’t see why you shouldn’t.

You would be ridiculed to death with a wheelie backpack.

Hey, I bet she goes home and pwns noobs on WoW all day, she is 1337.

Get a regular backpack. Considering staircases and hallway traffic, I can’t imagine wheelies to be convenient.

Also, no one will take you seriously. Case in point, the responses to francesca1996.

Don’t you even dare bring that rolly backpack on school property. No joke this kid (probably a freshman) has a rolly backpack and poor kid has to roll it everywhere. Mind you I go to Florida outside school where the whole school floods with three seconds of rain and the majority of classes are on the second floor. I wonder how he does it…so moral of the story…get a regular backpack.

At my school, the valedictorian from a few years back used a rolling backpack. And I’m pretty sure he was the only one in the school who used one. And he was probably the only one in the school who could get away with it. Use a regular backpack. Or better yet, no backpack at all :D

Imo, rolling backpacks are good in theory but in reality impractical especially if you have to go up stairs and stuff. Plus it seems like a hazard cuz kids can easily trip on it and get you in trouble. Also a lot of people will make fun of you for that. But if you are willing to deal with the possibility that you might cause someone physical harm or you might face emotional harm or you can in trouble with the po-po (aka the principal/assistant principal/dean/ any nearby hall monitor/teacher/aide) then go for it.
