Which is better for CS - Umass Amherst vs Lehigh vs RPI vs Purdue.

I am looking at undergraduate teaching and quality of undergraduate courses, co-curricular clubs, research and internship opportunities. I would like disregard ranking since they mostly refer to graduate school.

If cost isn’t a consideration, Purdue all the way!

(My D is a 2nd year engineer at Purdue and turned down RPI and Lehigh).

If you would like an especially tech-focused environment, RPI might suit you. It’s worth noting, for example, that it engages in CS related technology projects on a world level:

For a school that would be excellent for CS, but less tech-focused overall than RPI, strongly consider Lehigh.

Regarding UMass, CS may represent its strongest academic department, a distinguishing aspect that could make it another excellent choice.

Thank You very much!

The one where you will not have too much debt and where you are directly admitted to the CS major or where there are not unreasonably high barriers to entering the CS major.
