Which is better Northridge or Chico for Computer Science?

I have only those to options and was wondering which would be better for my experience in learn the major?

Where are you coming from? I’d look more at the overall campus experience because between those 2 there may not be much difference as far as undergrad degrees in CS. Chico is very small town/rural and Northridge is not.

Both are good and will get you a job after you graduate. Chico is a much smaller, residential school. If you want a big commuter school in the LA area, Northridge it is. Visit both, one will call your name more than the other.

Do you think it makes a difference if i get my bachelors in one of those two school or is it better to have it from like Pomona, Obispo?

CS Grads from both schools are recruited by big tech companies. CP Pomona is good but, isn’t significantly better for CS than either of them. If you have no preference, flip a 3 sided coin to make your choice. I happen to like the residential/college town experience you’ll only find at Chico - so that would be my choice.

SLO is a cut above but, very difficult to get into as a freshman - and even more difficult as a transfer. It also happens to be in a college town… If you were admitted as a freshman, you should seriously consider going. If you are thinking of transferring in - think again. As you can see from the link, last year they accepted less than 200 transfers into the College of Engineering, just 10% of applicants (vs 22% for freshmen).

You have some very good options available to you. Pick a school where you will be comfortable and you are confident you’ll succeed.

Good luck.
