Which is Better

Hypothetically:
Is 800 Math / 760 CR / 800 Writing
BETTER than
800 Math / 780 CR / 780 Writing?

Thanks in advance?

I don’t think there is tooo much of a difference, but some colleges score with M+CR only, so hypothetically the second one is better.

In my opinion (and this is just mine) both are equally strong. I honestly don’t think colleges split hairs about a difference like that. At the same time, there are still a fair number of schools who only consider the math/critical reading when they look at your scores.

Hm, ok. Thanks.
What about
800 Math / 800 CR / 750 Writing = (2350)
VS
800 Math /780 CR / 780 Writing = (2360)

Again, It really depends on what school you are applying to. If the school only considers M+CR than the 1st one is better.

In this case, I’d say the second one is more balanced, but both show proficiency.

Using these two guidelines, I’m sure you can figure it out yourself now.

I think the first one is better, in general as m+cr counts more than writing

^agree 10char

in either cases, ppl will call u a nerd

and i’d call them ignorant.

The second one definitely. CR is more important IMO (perhaps because I got an 800 in it). And besides, 30% of the W score is the travesty known as the SAT Essay.

800 800 750 is better…800 in CR is very impressive
