Which is better?

I'm a transfer student trying to decide which scores, if any, I should send to colleges.

I'm currently a sophomore, so scores aren't such a big deal at this stage, but obviously it's still important.

I'm applying to around 6 liberal arts colleges, some which require either or both the SAT and ACT, some that refuse them, and some that say both are optional.

My ACT composite score was 30.

My SAT scores were cr:760 m:590 w:590 for a total of 1940.
I just retook the SAT, but honestly have no idea how I did. I'm just hoping the math and writing improved...

Which of these would be more impressive to LACs' admission offices? The ACT, SAT, or both?

If the scores are only optional, should I send them? I'm guessing that depends on the average scores of admitted students. So should I only send my scores if they are above the average, or would at the average be helpful too?

30 converts to about a 2050

ok so that means ACT would be better....? theres still a small chance i could've improved my SAT score though... hmmm. anyone else?

Why not send both? You can look up concordance charts to get estimates if you like. If your target schools don't consider SAT writing (neither of my d's schools do) then your SAT looks about equivalent to the ACT. Bear in mind that if you're sending SAT IIs your SAT reasoning test will be reported too.
