I need to either raise my ACT 4-5 points or my SAT by 250-270.
Which of these is easier to do?

I didn't study much before either of these tests, so my scores weren't even close to what they could be with some good studying.

The only thing about the ACT is that I'm not good at science at ALL, and that really hurt me.

Which do you think would be the easiest to do?

It would help to know what your scores are now for each.

In general, I would say that the ACT is easier for getting a very high mark. Nevertheless, if you are atrocious in the sciences, you should do the SAT.

ACT-
Composite: 25
English: 26
Math: 25
Reading: 25
Science: 24

SAT-
Total: 1770
Math: 560
Critical Reading: 560
Writing: 650

It would be about equal.

According to the comparison charts on the official websites:

ACT 25+ (4/5) = 29-30 ~~ 1980-2090

SAT 1770 +(250/270) = 2020-2040 ~~ 29-30ish

So it wouldn’t matter

As far as easier, you need to decide which test YOU can improve most on. It all depends on the person. For me it is the ACT that is easier to improve on, for numerous friends of mine, they won’t touch the ACT.

Its so hard to improve SAT CR and Math. Go for the ACT

i also got a 25. trying to get that up by september!
ACT Composite: 25
English:26
Reading:30
Math:21
Science 23

Im trying to change it to::
English:30
Reading:32
Math:24
Science:26
Composite: 28

I think it depends on the person.

I don’t think I would be able to raise my SAT score at all. But I was able to raise an ACT score. I took a practice, scored 28. Took 1 practice test (dont know what I got… didnt score it) and then took the actual exam and scored a 35.

Again, depends on the person. For me I got a 28 on my first ACT then after two weeks of hard study got a 32. However, my SAT is seemingly impossible to move from 1990. I would go for ACT.
