Which is harder?

And, which is appreciated more by HYP? And will a high score on Math I make up for a sub-par score in Math SAT? (Like... 700+ in Math I make up for a 600's score for Math reasoning?)

i think so...why not try Math L2, the curve is VERY generous

True, but I am in precalculus honors this year... will that be ok?

I've been studying for 3 weeks almost 3 hours a day for SAT math, I feel one more week of prep and I could have been in the 700's in today's test....

but possibly not, which is why I'm considering Janurary 26 SAT II math..

Was this your first SAT?
If you took the test today, how do you know you got in the 600's?
If if wasn't your first SAT, how much of an improvement would 600's be?

Even without knowing the answers I think you are wasting most of your test time thinking of what the score will be and micromanaging the rights, the wrongs, the omits, etc. instead of doing the actual math. Bad technique. If you are managing honors precalculus you should be doing OK. Relax and stop second guessing. Get your scores first, think HYP later. About MathII, the curve might be generous, but the people that take the test are the ones that aced SAT and that's your competition.

both are tricky, conceptually not hard. They both have pretty bad curves as well. I got a 760 in MAth II and I cant even break 700 in reasoning :[ boooo

You should take the math II if you can manage

I got a 760 on MathIC, 700 in Math2C, but failed to pass 700 in SAT I math, what will colleges think of this?

My Math is terrible, I don't know. Whether should I take the ACT?
It is really hurt that after I finished the test, I got a nosebleed and feel dazzle. I have not slept nearly this week, only sleep last night. I really want to suicide. I take this test 2 times, both are failure. I don't know... I missed my A Level classes.

I got 580 in Math in October, and I'm pretty sure I got over 600 since I've been practicing alot... but I doubt I got over 700. I felt pretty good with most of my sections today but I know I missed a few in each section, and ofcourse over 4 wrong takes me out of the 700 range.

Today was my third time taking SATs.

What do you think?

I got an 800 on math II first time, before I even took the SAT for the first time. Gotten a 740 and 780 on the SAT math so far. SAT 2 > SAT

math SAT1, easier test- harder curve
math SAT2, harder test- easier curve

The CR is easier for me, I think I shall good about 670-700, but Math is...

So basically the consensus is that a 700+ on Math Subject test, either I or II is more impressive than a 700+ SAT I Math?

The reasoning math is the hardest, simply because it's a test of mathematical brainpower rather than mathematical achievement.

Key words in your posts Celita: HYP and impress.

I don't think they are even impressed by all 800's.
Don't let worrying about this take away from the rest of your application and your essays.

Well I doubt there are few exceptions in terms of essays and EC's or hooks that HYP would make for someone who got a 580 in Math SAT... :-/ I hope you guys understand my concern. I'd rather not screw up my decision here.

As far as I understand, Princeton doesn't seem to consider ACTs in February. I can't take the ACTs this december. And the last acceptable SAT date I need to retake SAT II's, which is why I am considering the math ones..

:( decisions decisions...

We are twins,...

I got 800 in Reasoning math, and Math IIc. I thought they were both pretty easy, but I would assume that an 800 reasoning looks a little better because you can miss 5 (or omit 6) and still get an 800 Math IIc while in reasoning missing 1 will take you down.

So I guess what I’m saying is with reasoning math, if you get an 800 they KNOW you didn’t miss any, but with Math IIc you could’ve missed up to five.

math SAT 1 is harder forsure.
i got 800 on the sat2c on my first try.
