Which Is More Advantageous

Which would serve to an applicant's advantage: staying an extra year towards undergraduate degree to increase UGPA or using that year to complete a one year Master's program? I ask because this seems to be my dilemma. I am hung on either staying an extra year to complete another major, which could help boost my UGPA or using that year to complete a Master's in Finance program.

My vote is for boosting your GPA.

Granted, I'm no expert, but I would go with the extra year to boost your UGPA. Having been through the law school admissions process this year, it really seems to be the truth that LSAT and UGPA (in that order) are the defining features of an applicant's chances of admission to any given law school. Since a GPA from a Master's program is not considered in the LSAC calculation of GPA, it would seem to me that boosting your UGPA would outweigh any advantage that a Master's degree (viewed as a good "soft factor") would offer.
