Which is more difficult to get in?

I understand there may be some bias on this forum, but which do you think is more difficult to get into? Stanford or Pomona.

Stanford!!!!!!!!!!

Stanford is more selective than Pomona. However, both are extremely hard to get into, and the difference in their acceptance rates is about 4% (12 vs. 16). They have similar SAT averages, but in general, Stanford is more concerned about the quantitative aspects of one's application. I would argue that Pomona's process is more "holistic".

The differences between Stanford and Pomona are akin to those between HYP and Amherst, Williams and Swarthmore. Pomona is in the same league as the AWS, Brown, Dartmouth, Penn, Duke etc, but not quite Stanford, HYP, MIT, Caltech.

I hope this was helpful.

darnshorty is pretty much right on the mark; there are some kids here who turned down stanford, but i would guess that there are a lot more kids at stanford who turned down Pomona.

brassmonkey - I know who you are! muhahahahahahah
