Which is more valuable?

A degree in finance or a degree in computer science?

Isn't it true that you do a lot of modeling in both? Programming in both?

I like both programming and working with investment models, so I was wondering which option would allow me to switch over to other more easily? In case I don't like finance, will it be easier for me to switch from finance to CS, or CS to finance?

I imagine it's a lot easier to go from CS to finance than the other way around.

Well, what I meant was is it easier for a CS grad to learn basic concepts learned by finance majors, or is it easier for a finance grad to learn the basic concepts learned by CS majors?

And how would employers see it?

Ok, basically what I'm trying to ask is...

is "Data Mining and Analysis" a business department's job or the computer science department's job?

Get the BS.

Computer Science pwns

CS+MBA pwns more, MBA with concentration in finance.
