Which is preferable -- take calculus online or at a College?

Due to some schedule conflict's I've been forced to take Calc BC outside the school. I have the option of taking it online via FLVS (and it will appear on my transcript) OR I can take it at a College, and it won't be on my high school transcript. The college course is significantly more expensive, so I'm wondering if it's worth it. But I'm concerned the online course will look bad.

I’ve heard colleges want to see you’ve taken the most challenging course possible. I just want to get an idea as to how beneficial it will be to my application to have a college course/how harmful it will be to have an online one.

I don’t think it really matters. Some may prefer AP Calc because its more standardized, but you’d have to look at the syllabus of the college calculus course to see which one is better.
