Not better. Just want clarify the difference. If you are into fiannce, you probably think Penn is a lot more impressive and like how Penn looks like a factory for future ibankers.

I have lived in both Evanston and Chicago, each more than a decade. Although this might not be a deciding factor, the UChi campus has been more convenient to walk and drive around and negotiate. NU is strung out along the lake lengthwise.

Trying to see both of them in the same day is too much, I know people try.
I'm just a parent.

Not that anybody actually wants to let my reality get in the way of their opinions, but I have no interest in finance. I didn't come to Penn for finance. I've never taken a finance class and unless I get an MBA I never will.

I came to Penn because it's Penn, and regardless of what you proclaim to be a "mirror," I'd take UChicago over Northwestern in a heartbeat. My friend and fellow IR-major just won a Fulbright. We both just handed in 80+ page theses. Pre-professional it ain't. We both identify with UChicago over Northwestern.

lol..it was just a joke. of course, there are people that aren't into finance at penn. i think we all know there are fulbright winners in every top college...

The downtown Chicago campus of Northwestern is all graduate-level programs (Law, Medical, Kellogg part-time program). All undergraduate classes are on the Evanston campus. I never had any classes on the downtown Chicago campus. The Evanston campus is very easy to navigate and small too.

It may be that only about 25% of U Penn undergrad is associated with Wharton, but I think it is a fact that much of U Penn's rise over the last few decades has been in their very effective leveraging of the Wharton brand name. After HYP, I'd say that the next most valuable Ivy brand is Wharton.

UChicago has more prestige for the highly educated and science-types also. They did the research for the Manhattan Project (oppenheimer & fermi) and also are known for having some of the best grad schools. Kellog business is also highly regarded, but so is UChicago just as much. If you looked at international rankings, Chicago always beats Northwestern in that perspective.

Hey, if you've got it, flaunt it.
