which is the prettiest/most beautiful UC Campus?

I’ve visited almost every campus in the UC system, and I’ve attended two of them (UCSD and Davis). Some of the campuses are too different to compare - they all have great features which are entirely unique to the campus. I like Davis, personally - there are a lot of sprawling grassy areas with large trees. Also, Davis has gone on a building spree over the past decade. There are a lot of new buildings (including the gorgeous Mondavi Center, a perfect football stadium, etc.). Plus Davis has an arboretum - basically a small lake with a collection of exotic and native plants, flowers, etc. which stretches along the west side of campus.

davis is nice, so is san diego, so is riverside.

personally i hate la/berkeley/irvine though

UC San Diego!

UCLA was nice, but in a sort of half-westcoast-half-eastcoast way.
my mom went to uc santa cruz, she says the campus was amazing (the academics not so much LOL)
my aunt went to uc davis, and SHE also says the campus was nice.

i honestly have to say that besides UCB, you can’t go wrong.

This thread goes to show that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have lived in SoCal my entire life (many, many year:) ) and each campus offers something different! I have been to many of the campuses a lot of times, and I have got to say that my No.1 choice is still UCLA. It has got it all; academics, beautiful campus, weather, athletics, beach (approx. 3 miles), mountains and skiiing (approx 1-3 hours depending on where you go), Westwood and the surrounding area (Beverly Hills, Bel Air etc). The only negative is a small campus (approx 900 acres) and the mountains are on fire right now:(

UCSC reminded me of a Stephen King movie during the holidays when no one was there… all so spread out and creepy but beautiful since you can see the coast and the forest from anywhere… not to mention the 10+ deer I saw haha

UCD… I live thereee so it’s pretty lame to me… got an arboretum though and you can always see college students smoking pot there… I fell into the kinda river-ish part one time though that was unpleasant

LUCKY I would love to go to Cal it is my favorite but they don’t have the major I want

Davis definitely has a small college town feel though and although downtown is small there’s lots of fun stuff to do and places to go, and the high school and university are both great (apparently)… very liberal town too hahahaaaa

UCSC is really nice and really big. UCSD i thought was pretty ugly. UCLA had nice buildings, but how pretty can it be if its in the middle of LA? UCSB was nice because it is on the beach, but the buildings look really bad in my opinion (50s archetecture, peeling paint, etc). UC Davis looks very nice

ucla or ucb, HANDS DOWN [well for me, at least : P]

ucsd was nothing special, at all.

i decided not to even go through with the ucsc tour after my parents & i drove to campus the day before. it has that real ‘camping’ vibe, if you’re into that sort of thing.

ucd was HORRIBLE. a two-hour long tour walking in 100 degree weather around this horriblly huge farm-land/grassy area. definitely not for me D:

eh, hope that helped at all (:

We were told on the campus tour that the UCLA campus was the smallest in the system.
