Which ivy league university is the easiest one to get into for computer science?

Probably the one one with the worst CS program, with the least interest and competition for admission.

Why are you focused on Ivy League? For CS, there are many great schools, including public universities.

which one would that be?

I am not quite too sure what I would like to study in the future. The ivy league institutions have very strong programs in many fields. This makes it possible to change majors and still be at a very strong program.

Even at the big publics, it’s usually very easy to transfer out of CS into a different major. Much harder to transfer in. Look at schools like Michigan which is higher ranked for CS than any of the Ivies and is strong in many, many areas.

No Ivy League university admits by major (excluding certain schools within Cornell that are irrelevant to your question). Ivy League universities with multiple undergraduate achools - Penn, Columbia, Cornell - admit by school, although don’t necessarily share acceptance rates by school.

As to which is the easiest to get into? Easy is relative; all are difficult. But you can answer your own question by researching acceptance rates.

That said, not all Ivy League schools have A+ CS undergrad programs and there are many unis, both public and private, with better programs than some Ivy League

True. But there are a bunch of schools – ranging from small liberal arts colleges to large universities – that also have “very strong programs in many fields.” By restricting yourself to the eight Ivies, you’re ignoring a lot of excellent options. Yes, HYPDBCC&P are wonderful schools – I know, I went to one of them – but I have no doubt that I would have received a great education and had a successful career if I had gone to, say, Haverford College or the University of Michigan. (And in fact, sometimes I wish I had gone to a LAC like Haverford, as it might have been a better fit for me.)

What is the ranking of computer science of the undergraduate ivy league schools between them:

You do realize that all rankings are subjective right? There is no definitive answer to this question. Here is one list I just found on google:

On this particular list the ivies are ranked as follows:

6 Cornell
10 Princeton
14 Harvard
16 Columbia
23.UPenn
48 Brown

Yale and Dartmouth aren’t listed so I guess they aren’t in the top 50 programs in the country (according to this source). And, of course, there are 44 other programs in the country that are in the top 50 and aren’t Ivies.

USNews has

Cornell 5
Princeton 5
Columbia 13
Harvard 13
Penn 16
Yale 20
Brown 25
Dartmouth 41

Dartmouth has an acceptance rate higher than most of the Ivies, and the lowest ranked program. Maybe that’s the fit you’re looking for.

Thank you very much, this is what I have been looking for
