well, you could be accepted by any of them. You have what is sometimes called on CC an “average excellent” profile- good stats and solid but not striking ECs. Your essays & LoRs will have to do the heavy lifting of moving your app from ‘qualified’ to ‘accepted’
As you are an Econ person, you must be numerate enough to understand the implications of a single digit admission rate: 90%+ of applicants - most of whom are just as qualified as you - are turned down. Most of those schools have about 8-15% international students. So you are looking for a place in the ~10% of 10%.
So, back to basics: what is your primary goal in applying to university in the US? To go to one of a handful of internationally known names? to go to a university that will meet your financial need? to have the American collegiate experience?
I think that @collegemom3717 said it very well. Your excellent stats are typical of the students who get accepted to the Ivy League and equivalent universities, and are also typical of the large majority of the students who get rejected by the Ivy League and equivalent universities.
One way to guess at you chances. Figure that about 80% of all applicants have stats just like yours, and the other 20% are less compelling. The acceptance rates for international students is a lot less than for American students, so take the published acceptance rates and figure for international students the acceptance rates might be at best 1/4 of that. You can calculate pretty much what your chances are. You have a chance and it is worth applying, but don’t count on it.
Also, there are 8 Ivy League schools and probably a similar number of equivalent schools (MIT and Stanford being the best known and highest ranked non-Ivy League schools). They are not all the same. You should look at each of them and try to find which would be a good fit for you. For example, if you are applying to Dartmouth, you should be able to answer the question “Why Dartmouth rather than Columbia or Harvard or Stanford or MIT?”.
Also, if you have any budget limitations then you should run the Net Price Calculator and see what sort of aid you might be able to get. If you google " net price calculator" you will find it.
Good luck with this. You should be able to find a very good university to fit you somewhere.
As others have mentioned, chances are slim even for the most highly qualified candidates. You’ve shown a demonstrated interest in business, and with your entrepreneurial endeavors, it seems like you’d be a solid candidate for Wharton. Best of luck to you!
You have good enough stats on paper, but for Ivy league schools its still incredibly difficult. I think you should play on your Youtube channel and Blog (if they are relatively successful) because they are related to your interests in business and economics, and are probably the most unique ECs that you have.
