Which Johns Hopkins App?

I know that to apply to JHU I can use either the Common Application or JHU's own application. Now, I'm not very familiar with its application or its contents, so I would like to know which application is "better" per se? Does the JHU application have more essays than the Common App? Which allows me to convey a stronger image of myself to the admissions officers?

Thank ya!

Whether or not you use the JHU application or Common application will be no different given they recieve tons of these applcications from perspective applicants per year using a wide variety of different methods of applying, whether it may be online, or paper application, hand written essays, or etc... Its really unneccessary to think that one form would give you an advantage over another.

Your application would probably be analyzed based on the context of the application questions. What you say and what you answer will be correlated and connnected to whatever essay question was asked of you. I sure admissions counselors make each application the same and consistent throughout just like the common apps application so there is no real advantage or better per say.

There is one part of the JHU application that I remember that ask you do to an optional essay or something. In this essay, there is a checkbox that allows you to throw in a essay in a separate medium. Try it. I posted something that I can send you that was amazing. It was what I would do with a ton of money and nothing to do in the summer. I said I would have went on ebay and purchased tons of vibrant and colorful poetic books to fill my secret underground library in my basement. I had colorful construction paper...and triangles and stars with photoshoppped pictures showing everything I was writing. It was cool.

Other friends have used this option and sent in videos of themselves doing really cool magic card tricks and a brochure with step-by-step instructions on how to spend the day creating and making sushi. Its really creative and amazing.

Use that option, they really like it.

Thanks, Phead128! You said you posted something that you can send me, can you send it? I'd love to see it! Thank you very much! =D

yea dont mean to be overwhelming phead 123 but Id love to see it too..ive never heard of anyone doing something like that
