Which laptop would be best?

I'll be a freshman in college next year, most likely majoring in biology with a pre-vet curriculum, and probably minoring in astronomy. I plan on going to Eastern Michigan and using the laptop for 4+ years while in school.

I have a job, but it's minimum wage and I only work 20 hours a week, if that. But I do have 6-7 months before moving in, so I'd be saving up for the majority of that.

I'd prefer a laptop that is lightweight, so I wouldn't have a problem carrying it to class and such. I wouldn't play a lot of video games on it. I'd mainly use it for school, with the occasional facebook or youtube visit.

Any suggestions?

You wouldn’t play alot of video games so I am assuming you want to plat some video games. I would say you probably want a 15.6" or less laptop. At least 4 GB of memory and a minimum 500 GB hardrive. Somewhere areound 5 pounds or less. I recommend taking a look on sites such as newegg or fatwallet.com even amazon.com

Price isn’t everything! I learned that the very hard way… You can get a decent computer of those around $700.
Absolutely make sure you read the reviews as well. Remember you are making a 4 year+ investment and technology often changes rapidly.
