Which MA Program in Communications carries more weight CSUN or CSUF?

Hello All,

I was accepted into the Master of Arts Degree in Mass Communication program at Cal State University Northridge and to the M.A. in Communications at Cal State University Fullerton for Fall 2010. Which of these M.A. programs carries more weight/prestige? I tried researching online to find some sort of ranking, but no results came up.

At this point in time, because of my previous frustrations with getting into other grad school programs (namely PhD programs) I will probably just be happy with an M.A. So I need to make the M.A. count for future academic teaching opportunities at the community college level and possibly the private sector (but future plans are for teaching at the CC level).

Also, (incase someone wanted to ask) I am not interested in applying to any private universities such as the University of Southern California because of their outrageous tuition bills. I was also admitted into a grad program at a private university on the East Coast, but they played around with their GPA requirement (apparently they had an internal number) and I was screwed out of grad level financial aid because of it.

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Hi I am not sure if the Cal States are ranked. I don’t see Cal States in many of the rankings except maybe CPSLO…

Between CSUN & CSUF I’d definitely choose CSUF because CSUF has an excellent business program and also a very good communications dept. I don’t know anything about Northridge…
