So I'm a little lost as to which mac is best for me in college.
I'll be majoring in something along the lines of journalism, advertising, or public relations.
I know that there will be a lot of word processing but with the industry switching over to the internet and heavy graphics, I'm considering the 13" Macbook Pro for it's edge with the sharp imagery.
I have the white Macbook now and it's been fabulous.
So what do you all think?
Macbook or Macbook Pro?!

bump bump bump

Honestly, the regular Mac will be more than fine. Though, it seems like you already know that and really want to get the Pro, so, if money allows, I’d go for it.

Any will do.

The 13" Macbook Pro is worth it - very worth it at only $200 over the white Macbook.

However, I would strongly suggest to wait until January, as a MBP refresh is expected.

mac sucks. get pc.

Let’s say you have $1,200 to purchase a new computer. If you buy it today, you can get the 13" Macbook Pro. If you wait one year, that same computer will probably cost less than $1,000, or you could get an even better one for the same price.

So, what should you do? Keep using your current computer until you NEED a better one. Then, plunk down the $1,200 for the best computer you can get (or spend whatever you have to in order to get what you need in a computer).

Get a pc. No really they work with more things and some companies such as Asus even have better reliability than macs. Macs just look cool but give less bang for the buck

For comm, get a pc I guess, I think you will always have to do group work, if most of your teamates use pc, its really inconvenient. But if you really want a mac, I recommend the 15’ MBP.

yeah or 13" macbook pro. i got that cuz its light weight, works excellently, and it has a dvd drive. unlike macbook air. DO IT. its the best purchase u’ll ever make haha jk mercedes would be but i used to be a dell user…and i dont like it as much now. macbooks are so advanced and its got EVERYTHING.

freddy: Most the students I know have macs, even in science majors, so doing group work is actually easier if you have a mac than a pc. And macs run microsoft office, and it’s easy to dual-boot to make your mac a pc if needed.
