UPS
The national one... the name escapes me as of now
fed-ex
etc...
I want to know which truck to hound.

I think UPS…but no promises.

haha, i have no idea what the answer is BUT I HOUND THEM TOO!

i swear to god i can literally feel my heart jump when i see the UPS or regular mail truck at my door. i freak out! and…it’s always just coupons.

does anyone know when we’re really getting them? closer to april 1st, or could it be any day now?

april 1st? for which school?
Most are mailed on march 10.

All of our schools said MAIL.

Mail, yes - but most do overnight mail through postal service.

US MAIL is postal service. I meant not courrier like UPS or Fed-Ex - they are by defination NOT mail.

Do you mean the US Mail? (United States Postal Service) :)

This one made my day.
And I’m sure I would chase a UPS truck if the mail didnt come while I am at school… D:

It varies. Each school makes its own choice. If you’re not in school on March 10, then – by watching results shared here – you will know. You will either find out soon enough firsthand or you will get word from others who applied to your school as to which carrier brought the good news.

Some schools even used different carriers…opting for USPS for local decisions within their next-day delivery areas and opting for commercial, overnight carriers for deliveries beyond that territory.

If the result is not good news, though, I believe it’s pretty much universal for the response to come via First Class Mail in a standard #10 business envelope with 41 cents postage affixed (usually by meter).

First, my daughter got a couple of notifications online. Then most of the notifications (including two hard copy packages from online notification schools) arrived by regular mail the next day, then a couple more packages arrived via regular mail again, the following day. Good luck, All!

From past experience or whatever, does anyone know how much longer the letters take for international students? China?

Expect to get them on the 11th, boo ![]()
China isn’t much farther than Korea, and unless it’s online, most letters will either be on the 11th or even the 12th with the time difference.

no experience, but my friends definitely did all their research on bs’s

All ours last year came via US Postal Service, but I can’t remember if they were sent Express Mail (overnight) or Priority Mail. Last year it was a Saturday, if I remember correctly.

Of course, that is how the acceptances come. If you get waitlisted or outright rejected, they are going to come a couple days later via the 41 cent regular thin envelope way.

but when will they send it if it’s overnight? post doesn’t work on sundays. will they send acceptances on saturday then?

It depends on the school NeLLyRaE.
I know one school has told me they are going to the post office on Saturday. Another told me they had not yet decided Friday or Monday.

I think I might have confused you. Last year, March 10th was on a Saturday and we did receive the acceptances on that day. This year, I see that March 10th is a Monday and these schools do a pretty good job of making sure that you receive your acceptances on March 10th. We live in the US and far from the New England area and the acceptances did arrive on Saturday, March 10th with the United States Postal Service, i.e., the mail man/woman. Any waitlist letters and reject letters did not come on March 10th. It was more like the 11th or 12th. Does that help?

yeah, that one…
lol :)

i’m not entirely sure which mail carrier it brings the news… im only applying after all! but im guessing UPS or FEDex for good news because the thick envelopes wouldnt be classified as USmail’s territory. Correct me if im rong, its only a guess!
