Which Major and Minor?

<p>I've been looking at applying to UMD for a while now and majoring in Criminal Justice, however, as I look more at their majors I'm wondering if a major in Government and Politics with a minor in CJ would be better?</p>

<p>I'm in love with the DC area, so the fact that UMD is so close adds huge bonus points in my book. I'm also looking at Belmont University and University of MN--Duluth in addition to UMD, but for International Business.</p>

<p>Just want to make sure you are aware that the Gov/Politics major at UMD is an LEP. CJ is obviously a great program. I am not sure if you can minor in Gov/Politics, if that was something you were thinking about doing if CJ was your major.</p>

<p>Do you have any interest in UMD’s business school?</p>

<p>I’ve looked into UMD’s business program, but not too in depth (Belmont is my top school for that right now).</p>

<p>Could you possibly explain a little about the Gov/Pol major being LEP? Aren’t the Business and CJ majors also LEP?</p>
