Is Urban Studies or Sustainable Environmental Design easier to get into?

And are you able to switch into another college if accepted?

UCB Admission by College: For CED, they admit by major and there is no “easy” major at UCB. Changing colleges depends upon which college you want to switch into after your acceptance. College of Engineering is highly unlikely but Letters and Sciences is doable.

I suggest you select the major you think you want to pursue and hopefully you will be happy with your option. Do not rely on getting into a so called “easier” major and plan to switch into a more competitive later after your acceptance.

You are able to switch into another college after accepted, but as mentioned in the above post, I also recommend applying for the major you want in the first place. I also agree there is no easy major at UCB; maybe some easy classes, but no easy major.

Changing Majors can also set you back some time, it’s not advisable. Apply to the one you want, then change if you feel it’s not a match.
