Which Major Is Better - Econ, PPE, IR, or Sociology?

Right now I'm in college, and I'm trying to figure out stuff I'd like to do in the future, with regards to job prospects and stuff like that. I'm still fairly uncertain with regards to majors.

Right now I'm thinking of majoring in one of these four things, all of which I'm fairly interested in:

1) Economics

2) Politics, Philosophy, and Economics

3) International Relations

4) Sociology

I was wondering, based on a purely financial perspective, which major is best for life after college. Which one would be easiest for an individual to find a job after graduating? And at which one would the salary an individual make be highest?

It'd be awesome if anybody gave me some advice on this. The one thing I really want to avoid is majoring in something like English or Politics and ending up unemployed or making 40K in my mid 30s.

Do you go to Oxford or Yale?

Econ by far. Dual major or take electives for interest, but econ is the most marketable.

Roneald: No.

The reason I ask is because of the universities that offer the PPE, it is only highly regarded at Oxford and Yale (under the title Ethics, Politics, and Economics).

Although it is available at other higher ranking universities such as Wesleyan, UPenn, and Pomana College, in my own research it hasn’t held the same reputation from those universities.

Personally, I love the PPE major, and I think you can’t go wrong with either that or Economics. Both are marketable after college for a wide variety of jobs.
