Architecture majors are real high up on the list of people who have no free time. Not all work is simply studying out of a book. And at least in book classes you're graded on whether you arrived at the right answer or not, not just on creativity alone.

From what I've heard, Theology is a pretty time intensive major.

performing arts majors.. definitely a lot of time.

"screw that... i refuse to recognize performance as an academic major"

im not mad at you for thinking that way but i do take personal offense in that. im tired of ppl thinking that performance is not a major. We work our asses of and it requires alot of time and technique perfection. It is def. one of the most time consuming majors ever.

Ask yourself this question: "What would this world be like without performing arts majors?"

You could kiss movies( good one at that) good bye. TV would suck, there would be no directors, produceers, good writers, or actors to make things come alive.

The ballet classes you took when you were 5 would be non-existent.

Just think about it.

Sorry, im not mean...just something to consider.

I work very closely with engineers in my field and have found over the years that most of them believe that no one has had to work harder than they have and they generally have a hard time getting over themselves. :-)

About the OP's question, though, I'd venture to say that a great many majors require vast study time to be completed successfully and should all be respected and recognized for their uniqueness in what they bring to the table.

icekiss: At the same time however, where would this world be without engineers, doctors, biologists, chemists, etc.

I'm not doubting the fact that you guys put in a lot of time into the major. I have plenty of friends that are theater/performing arts majors. In my mind however, there's a real difference in the level of work put in by performing arts majors and those in the sciences. Maybe it's just me, but solving complicated redox reactions in chemistry is a heck of a lot more difficult than memorizing lines from Hamlet.

^ understadably...but the question was (and im not arguing with you, just stating my opinion) what major puts in the most amount of hours..i was just answering the question. The hours are diffferent as far as complexity, etc., but like a previous poster said, if you want to do something well and to you full ability, then every major should have equal amount of hours put into them, regardless og complexity.

^ Agreed :)

Methinks that this thread is starting to get circular though :/
