Which Major should I apply for?

My top picks are UC Berkeley, UCLA, and USC. I've had straight A's my entire life currently getting a 5.0 on the path to getting a 4.35 cumulative GPA, I've gotten a 1900 on the SAT and 29 on the ACT (i'm not a very good at standardized tests), I'm fairly well rounded playing basketball, football, hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, community service involvement, and I attended California Boy's State. So thats pretty much me. I want to apply for engineering but after looking at acceptance rates I am scared that I wont get in. I was wondering what a good major would be to apply that is still math based and that i may be able to switch majors to engineering someday or if that was even possible. I was thinking possibly architecture or mathematics major. I would honestly rather get accepted into the college than get into their engineering program so I was wondering what some good major choices would be to give me a better chance of getting accepted.

Im not sure about engineering or anything else, but I would recommend architecture if you considered yourself ‘artsy’ lol

Oh yah i forgot to mention, I have been producing electronic music and collaborating with local music artists to make songs as well as starting my own Dj entertainment business. So yes I am artsy which is why I really want to go to USC because they are starting a music production major/minor this coming school year.

Anything is “possible” but the UCs make clear that only a few internal transfers are accepted. See for example http://www.seasoasa.ucla.edu/undergraduates/change-of-majord</a> Your SAT is on the low side for engineering. If you apply for a major in Letters and Science then the major doesn’t matter; all applicants are evaluated for that college w/o regard to major listed on their app.
