which major should i choose?

looking at colleges now, i feel that i should aim for a school that will support my interests and possible major choices. the problem is, i cant decided. ive always loved music; writing it, playing it, or listening to it. but being indian, my parents told me i should aim to go into medicine. we came to a middle ground at computer engineering because i've always had a strong affiliation with computers. im that "go to" guy for computer problems in every family. my grades/accomplishments are nowhere near ivy league quality, but if i could get suggestions of colleges for either computer engineering/sciences, or music w/pre-med requisites that would be awesome.

My current scores and such are:
WGPA-3.5
SAT- 1950 ( but just retook it saturday)
EC- Eagle Scout, SGA Secretary, multiple music ensembles and honors, academy of information technology, varsity soccer, 250+ SSL hours, church youth group leader.

thank you!

You can major in either music or computer science and take the pre-med courses (though at some schools, doing so may result in a very crowded schedule). Be aware that most pre-meds do not get into any medical school, so consider your choice of major based on your non-medicine interests.

Your state of residency and cost constraints can be significant in your choice of schools; often, the in-state public schools will include safeties which you can definitely get admitted to and which you can definitely afford.
