I am a freshman at college, and I'm not sure what to major in. My top choices are history, film and digital media, and environmental studies.

Of these three choices, the third one (environmental studies) seems to be the most solid one in terms of job security; however, while I don't 'hate' the environment, I'm not a mega-supporter of it either.

I actually enjoy history; however, I realize that the career options for the major are limited (for careers actually related to history). So if I major in history, I would also try to get into internships related to journalism or media.

This is why I would want to major in film and digital media: I enjoy critiquing movies, and would want to be a writer/director on a tv show, movie, etc. However, in this instance, I realize that such jobs are very hard to get.

If I had the choice, I would major in journalism; unfortunately, my school has no such major.
