on average. bio? engineering?

It depends on the person, not his or her major. Plus even if a lot of engineering students at one school have no social life (b/c they have so much work or whatever), other schools will have more engineering students with a better social life. I just think it's dangerous to try to categorize all of the people in a major.

I don't think you can say any one major, but it's generally accepted that engineering students usually have the most rigid, demanding cirriculum in many colleges. So I think it's logical to guess engineering.

I wouldn't say bio, though.

Anyone at a Service Academy

^ ^
got that one right. :)

Well I am probably going to get blasted by somone at a service academy telling me to post somewhere else and that I dont know anything about service academies.

Meh. I think that it's been stereotyped and drilled into everyone's brains that engineering majors have it the worse. Especially pre-med engineers. But, as I am one, I agree with adconard and say that it probably does depend on the person because I'm going to socialize. But, everyone's definition of "social life" is different. For me, it doesn't have to be great, big parties with lots of people, etc. For me, socializing would even just that small but close-knit group of friends. Also, I see ECs, clubs, etc. as killing two birds with one stone--you're socializing but also doing something that is beneficial for your future at the same time. Lots of clubs have lots of social events, not to mention the actual dorms!

bahamasc... don't worry its true... I go to a Service Acadmey so I should know...

Engineering

Definitely agreeing with engineering, but I think architecture majors work just as much (one of my best friends will go to studio for three days at a time, sleeping at his workspace and such). However, he's the biggest partier I know (and this is at Tulane) so he definitely rewards himself and has a great social life when he's not killing himself over his studio work.

Nerds and people who don't drink. ;)

/engineers are among the heaviest drinkers on campus

why do you have to drink to have a social life? there are other fun things to do other than drinking if you did not know.

sigh It's a sad day on the internet when people don't understand the various uses of smileys... I'll agree with adconard, it depends on the person, not the major. That and certain departments have more organized/active party/social scene than others, but it still only depends on the people.
