Which meal plan are you getting?

My daughter got supplies at the Beatty Market (ground floor of Beatty Towers) sometimes, and sometimes got a ride to Publix with her roommate. Second semester she brought her car to school and made a regular Publix shop.

The 150 block plan in the summer is good. I had that, but make sure you use them because at the end of the Summer you'll be left with alot of meals and they don't roll over. Also word of advice: If you get a meal plan in the Fall, it is a YEARLY contract. So, let's you you get the 10 meal plan in the fall, didn't like it, and didn't want a meal plan in the Spring, you would still have one because it would automatically renew because it's a YEARLY contract. Declining Balance is not bad and it rolls over. The Dining Hall prices are a lil pricey $4 for breakfast and $7 for lunch and dinner. But, it is a all you can eat buffet basically. It really depends on your eating habits.

I work out and eat atleast 3 meals a day (and i eat a lot at each meal) and try to stay away from fast food (usually does not work ) and for breakfast i like the traditional pancakes, bacon, sausage, etc. i went up last summer and ate the gator dining and liked the food. Which meall plan would you recommend?

Ok, so if I go into Gator Corner for lunch and eat a full meal (buffet style) and then pack more food into a go box, does that count as 1 or 2 meals? I work out a lot and eat a healthy amount, usually about 1 big meal a day and 4 small meals. I'm considering the 240 block plan, but I may switch down depending on what exactly constitutes one meal. My understanding when I visited UF over Mardi Gras holiday was that you pay to enter the dining hall via your Gator1 ID. After you are in everything you eat or bring out in a go box counts for that 1 eating session? Is that accurate?

Thats two meals. Going in and eating and then getting a box to go. Sometimes the workers are lax about it and just give you the box, but the rules say it is two meals and you would have to slide you card again.

Thanks, I should definitely stick with the 240 block then.

i wouldnt get the meal plans if you are staying in beaty, keys, lakeside or anywhere with a fridge and an oven.. broward dining is definitely horrible and you will get tired of it very quickly.. i like gator dining but its on the other side of campus by the o'dome and the stadium.. if you won't have access to a fridge and oven, id say get a dorm by gator dining (trusler, graham, etc) and get yourself a meal plan.. if you plan on living by rawlings, jennings, yulee , etc, dont get the meal plan because you will be wasting money
