Which meal plan is everyone getting?

I’m kinda split between the 120 and 150. I don’t really eat 3 times a day, usually I eat twice a day with snacks inbetween. So that would be 140, assuming a 10 week quarter ([(10x7)x2]). So the 150 would be too much and the 120 would be too little. I’m kinda torn.

I think I’m leaning towards the 120 with the 100 Gold Plus thing, cause I don’t plan on eating in the DCs every day.

What’s everyone else getting?

get the most amount of Gold Plus possible.

the fat*** diet :3

in all seriousness though, probably a upper middle meal plan

What is the gold plus thingie?

Why should I get the most amount of Gold Plus possible. What advantage does it give me. I was told that you can just add more gold points to your card if you need it.

Freshmen 15... Don't do it. Don't pig out.

gold plus allows you to buy items from the mini marts in each dorm area and at the various venders in the silo (taco bell, pizza hut, carls jr. coffee, crepes). Trust me, when you get tired of the dining commons, the gold plus will be your savior.

I'm getting the aggie advantage or something..i live by home so if i get tired of dc food, i can come home to grab food or whatever. lol

Grab something for me as well yeah? I don't mind vegetarian food. =]

which meal plan should i get if i plan on eating three times a day?

i know i wont, but ill probably be making a lot of ice cream trips.

the biggest one. if you don't use all your meals, they roll over into the next quarter and you can reduce the amount you purchase for that quarter. At the end of the year your left over meals turn into gold plus for the next year.

haha..maybe if we meet. and if you're a dude applying for Rainbow hall or Wellness, we might be dorm mates. I will DEFINITELY take care of my dormie. Especially if they're from somewhere far. I would feel totally homesick if I were going to school far away. Kudos to everyone who's leaving home. I wish Davis moved a couple hundred miles. haha..

ah. cool! thanks, mr18359!

My recommendation is to get the 120 or 150 meal plan. Whatever you have leftover will rollover to the next quarter. If you have over 30 swipes from the previous quarter then downgrade your meal plan to the next lowest one.

I went from 120 (30 leftover) to 90 (0 leftover) to 120 this year.

Having Gold Plus cash was awesome, but I got rid of it because I always wound up buying a lot of junk food. If you live in Segundo, walk over to Rite Aid and buy your candy / drinks there. The drinks at Rite Aid are A LOT cheaper. The candy is similarly priced.

cfsaetern, I don't think Rainbow hall is for me, but I'll probably be applying to Wellness. And, I'm from SoCal! =O..

do we need gold points? can we add on to our acct if we end up wnated it?

i didnt like the food at the segundo dc nor the food at the memorial union...

=/

I don't see a reason to have gold points. Are food items cheaper? I mean, I have a credit card and I normally have cash with me.. Does that mean gold points would be ineffective for me?

You actually -do- get a discount when you use your gold plus at the Silo. (Carl's Jr, Pizza Hut Express, Taco Bell, etc). It's about 10% of a discount, so it pretty much covers the tax you would pay for if you were to have used cash / credit / debit.

oooo ok b/c i was thinking the same thing as cliffdive, i thought it was just for ppl who didnt have debit or credit.
