Which meal plan is everyone getting?

i recommend you guys getting the 90 Aggie Meal Plan...

some of you may get sick of the DC food after months of the same food that they serve. Plus, students that SWITCh their meal plans after figuring out they can't eat that much, THINK that they can just switch without getting penalized by the CONTRACT they signed when they chose the meal plan..

GUESS WHAT? You get about 2 dollars for each meal you give them back.
Example: So let's say you change 120 to 90 meal plan.. you get back 60 dollars.. when in FACT, when you signed the contract and paid a lump sum of.. 6-7 DOLLARS per meal.

Net Loss of 4-5 Dollars per meal if you decide to CHANGE meal plans after you have SIGNED the contract.

Oh yea. One more thing.. When you swipe your card at the "Junction" for a big bottle of coke, and they charge you 2 swipes. Guess what? That drink you bought.. yea.. that was 12-14 bucks buddy. LOL!

Plus if you don't believe me, check out mybill at myucdavis... Why do you think they charge you about 3,000+ for your "SHARED ROOM that is the SIZE of a restroom" ? A large amount came from the MEAL PLAN.

Maverick is correct! I'd recommend the 120 or even 90 meal plan. You can always upgrade, but never downgrade your meals after the first two weeks. NEVER swipe for food at the stores until you are for sure not going to finish your swipes.

You will get sick of the DC food, but for some reason, I really enjoyed it Spring quarter. Just knowing I didn't have to cook and have access to all that food (and cereal, coffee, ice cream, etc) felt really nice =] I'm gonna miss it next quarter.

Don't your extra meals go onto the next quarter? If you can't finish them.

hope roll over is an option then.

I thought food at the stores was used with the Gold Plus money. Isn't it?

Yep, swipes roll over to the next quarter. Be careful! My friend thought it'd be fine to leave her swipes the way it was. She had about 70 left in the last week of school. She bought out the entire store to use those swipes. If you decide not to use the swipes, it is converted to Y2Blue money at $2/swipe, which can only be used at the DC (which costs about $8.50 to get in...5 swipes for 1 entrance to the DC? Ha!).

The convenience stores accept Gold Plus AND Swipes as a form of payment. The stores also have to-go foods that allow you to take 1 entree, 1 beverage, 1 bag of chips, and 1 bag of cookies or fruit. Pretty nice when you don't have time to eat at the DC!

If you live off campus can you still get a meal plan? I plan on spending most of my time studying or doing stuff on campus = no time to leave except to go to sleep or maybe go home maybe 2 weekends per month.
