Which North Face Bag is the best?

I'm an 18 year old male going to NYU next semester so I'm going to need a good bag for the city. Many people recommend to get a North Face bag so I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the brand and if so which do they recommend? I would like something that would be able to carry my laptop (15 inch) and some books.

I'm currently looking at/interested in three right now and they are the:

North Face Borealis:

North Face Heckler:
The North Face Equipment Daypacks HECKLER BACKPACK

North Face Recon:

Thanks in advance!!

I have the Reacon in black and love it. I use it for both classes and hiking trips, and it’s in like-new condition after two years of heavyish use.

yea a lot of people recommended that one for the same reason you stated

Does it really have to be North Face? I can vouch for my Jansport as being awesome. Lifetime warranty, and I believe because of patents they’re the only company which can put squishy gel in the straps which feels awesome.

It doesn’t have to be North Face, that’s just the brand I’m the most familiar with. I’ll look into Jansport as well I guess, thanks!

Really North Face?

Are you also going to use your iPhone/iPod with Beats by Dre headphones? Maybe get a Mac? Wearvsone Holister or American Eagle?

Lol

What’s wrong with buying and using decent backpacks?

My bicycle has a $150 set of German-made panniers and I’ll probably tote an Osprey or Gregory pack around campus. Some things are worth spending money on.

BTW, “Beats by Dre” is junk, just like Skullcandy. Now Klipsch, Shure, Grado Labs, etc. - those are quality headphones.

I wasn’t naming things that were better than everything else I was naming things that are all overly popular for little to no reason

North Faces are probably popular for their aesthetics and durability

iPods and iPhones are popular because of their very simple, clean interfaces and in the iPhone’s case a very wide range of apps. Maybe you don’t like the UI or the limitations iOS has compared to, say, Android (I myself own an EVO 4G) but it seems a lot of people do.
