Which of the 3 sections has the most 800's?

I was just curious if anyone knows which section - math, critical reading, or writing, has the most perfect scores??

pretty sure writing, math, and reading

Now it's probably math, writing, reading. Writing is being curved much tougher than it was as an SAT II

the writing section has to be around for at least a year to be able to accurately find out which of the three has the most 800's. As of now, there are clearly more math 800's than critical reading 800's.

well thanks for the replies then

probably math. lets see em throw some calc questions. That will really seperate the men from the boys.

SAT I - Math probably
SAT II - Math IIC probably (nice curve)

SATII is Chinese with listening

Math II has such high scores because only the people who are really good at math take it...I mean most of the people.

And it still has a good curve anyway, even with those people who are really good at math taking it. Anyone could be good at IC, but the curve is harsh and you can easily make a careless mistake, especially if you're answering quickly.

I would not just say Chinese for the SATII's. I would think all the language SATII's deserve recognition for high scorers. For most of the languages, an 800 will only get you in the high 80th percentile.

Remember, the SAT's are taken by nearly everyone, while SATII's are taken by the "smarter" kids who want to go to elite universities, so an 800 wont be as uncommon as an 800 on the SAT's.

All the language tests deserve recognition, but if you look at the percentiles, you find that an 800 on the Chinese SAT II is ridiculously low percentile-wise compared to the German, Korean, Japanese, French, etc. If's in the range of a 67% if I recall correctly. SAT IIs in French, Spanish, and Latin are taken in significant quantities by students of those subjects; the SAT II in Chinese is taken in a very significant quantity by native speakers.

If I remember correctly an 800 on the Korean SATII is only 86th percentile.

On the score sheet with the percentage breakdowns its says an 800 on Chinese = 56 percentile. Which for me seems odd

When I saw the title of the thread I thought you wanted to know which section of the country - North, South, West, have more perfect scores, lol...

nope, but if people wan't to comment on that question also then it's fine....

I'd say CA has the most 800s

Almost certainly the northeast, I would think. They have the best school systems.

Hamster, coming from a crappy - er, excuse me, less-than-stellar school in the Northeast, I beg to differ. That is a stereotype. We do have good schools around here though...but I recall that a number of the people who scored 2400 on the Mar. 12th SAT this year were from CA.

california! california! Here we come!!!!!!!!

OMFG I hate that show. Yeah, shouts to my hommmeezz from the NorthEast. We have pretty good schools and amazing colleges (none of which I could ever get into)

Actually, looking at the scores on here, writing appeared to be the lowest for most people.

In terms of most 800's, I think it's going to end up:

Math
Reading
Writing
