I would say that both SUNYs are safeties based on your stats, though SUNYs have been increasing in popularity recently. I highly doubt that all of the schools on your list would reject you. As a matter of fact, I think UDelaware, both SUNYs, and American U will accept you, and likely Northeastern as well. Villanova and BU will be more difficult, and Lehigh will be the most difficult. Get that SAT up and you have a shot.

I definitely disagree with the cookie above me. Geneseo is definitely NOT a safety foryou… on the opposition, I would think that American + Northeastern would be the safeties, maybe Binghamton too.

48% of students with a GPA above 3.75
Middle 50% of SAT Math: 640 - 690
Middle 50% of SAT Reading: 620 - 700

So if you are looking at the numbers the original poster is right about in the upper half of all students. With a higher SAT, I think Geneseo is a definite acceptance.

Northeastern has nearly the exact same numbers, as does American, thus these schools are all solid matches if not safeties (with a higher SAT and a strong showing on the SAT II).

Villanova, BU, and especially Lehigh all have numbers that are above the SUNYs mentioned and Northeastern and American, which is why my original assessment stands.

I think BU is not necessarily going to be a safety…more of a reach, imo for you
Consider Bryn Mawr and Temple U-- they’re both in PA, close to Villanova GL!

BU a reach? on naviance for my school there are like 40 people who got in all around me, including many below… why do you say american’s business school is not particularly special? i know its not like wharton or stern or anything but i need a safety that has a biz school that i like…

Haha, this is pretty much my business school list. You just need to switch American to Penn State, and then you have my list. You have a pretty good shot at those schools.

Binghamton
BU
University of Delaware
