Which of the Top 20 Universities Offer Spring Transfer Admissions?

Besides Cornell, where else?

Brown
Amherst
Skidmore (not exactly top 20 but still)
Vassar
Wellesley
Middlebury
CMC

Notre Dame

WashU
Northwestern

sofy, I’m afraid you are mistaken. Amherst, Brown, and Vassar don’t offer spring admission. Brown theoretically does, but you have to apply with everyone else in March (ie you could not apply for spring 2010 this year, you would have to apply for the 2010-2011 school year)

Amherst, Vassar AND Middlebury don’t offer spring admissions, you can check out their websites. Trust me, I’ve done extensive research on all 3 schools.

Ones that I know offer spring admissions: Kenyon, Vanderbilt, Georgetown (I think), Johns Hopkins, Northwestern…you should go on their websites to double check though

cornell

Q: What are the application deadlines?
A: The deadline for spring semester is November 1; the deadline for Fall semester is March 15.

As for Middlebury, it looks like it has changed as I remember researching transferring there awhile back.

I am mistaken about Amherst, I think the page that loaded about Amherst spring campus was UMass-Amherst

MIT for US citizens/PRs

Dreamer,

You are wrong, Amherst does accept Spring transfer. I am applying this fall. You can go to their website they have the transfer app. in PDF and it clearly says on top: “instructions FOR TRANSFER APPLICATION FOR SPRING AND FALL 2009”

I copied this from the application I found on their website:

Spring enrollment
Spring Enrollment applications are due at the Admission Office by November 1, and we mail our application decisions by late December. If admitted, you will need to reply to our offer immediately.

You can also look into their profile page in the How to get into College 2009 edition. On the stats part of the profile, the deadline for spring transfer is shown.

Vassar also has Spring Transfer.

*Korean Grl, You can also apply to Emory.

Correction: Vanderbilt does not accept Spring Transfers.

Wesleyan University

My friend goes to Vassar and I know for a fact that they have spring transfer admissions.

^this thread is like four years old. Just saying.
