cal poly pomona

san jose is significantly better

any other thoughts about the schools?

I know a few ppl that go to sjsu, and from what they say it seems like they can get hooked up with some pretty nice jobs.

SJS is much better for business

san jose state is significantly better for business.
pomona once had a polytechnic faculty, with considerable hands on experience. in the past few years they've almost exclusively hired faculty with pseudo research backgrounds, the ones not good enough to get hired at better schools. as a result, students get neither top tier research nor professional experience from the teaching staff.

by comparison, san jose has been moving up. they just got a ten million dollar endowment for their graduate program and other smaller grants. pomona, meanwhile, is in a 50 year old building intended for a small fraction of the overflowing student body. they are sinking into mediocrity, sadly.
