Which of these colleges is best for engineering?

Hi! I’m a senior from Rhode Island looking to study engineering. I’m having a hard time choosing between a number of colleges and obviously there are many factors in choosing a college to attend, so I’m just asking which of the following is best from a purely academic point of view, so disregard cost to attend plz. Which of these is the best for engineering, specifically mechanical engineering? I’ve been accepted to engineering programs at UCLA, Wash U, Cal Poly, Northeastern, and UMich. Thanks for your help!

Cost is always one of the most important factors, if not the most important, so I never consider universities without it because it just doesn’t make sense. All those are good engineering programs. There is hardly ‘the best’ as far as undergraduate work for engineering goes. ABET makes the program fairly uniform.

There is a clear best here for Engineering and its Michigan. But only if costs are not prohibitive for you.

Agree with BrownParent. Have you visited the universities?

Agree with BrownParent, pick based off of cost and then within that fit. You will get a great education at all of these schools.

You do not want to go to Wash. U. I taught math there. Look for my other posts, or go to my blog, or email me for the blog address.
