Biomedical engineering is predicted to be one of the fasted growing careers in the future, expecting an employment growth of 72% ([Engineers](http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos027.htm#outlook)). Because of this, contradictory to the general consensus on CC, I don’t believe a graduate degree will be necessary for a job (although it can’t hurt). And CSmajor5, many people simply go to their state university for engineering studies. Are you saying that people in Utah, Arizona, or Minnesota can’t become biomedical engineers because they’re schools are “not worth going”? The elitist attitude on CC is starting to irritate me beyond belief. And btw, University of Minnesota is ranked 20th and Utah 70th for overall engineering (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/engineering-majors/382751-usnews-2008-engineering-ranking-compilation.html), when you consider that theres probably around 1000 engineering schools in the country, those are not bad rankings at all.
