Which of these Colleges?

I was looking at mainly 4 colleges: Gordon College, Grove City College, Westmont College, and Wheaton College. Any ideas on whch one is best? They all looked similar acedemically to me.

Thanks :)

Wheaton is the best academically, but it also comes with the biggest trade-off: a stiflingly conservative atmosphere. It doesn’t want to develop Christian leaders so much as train those who already “have it all together”. Just read their community covenant, which you must sign in order to be admitted. This isn’t what I wanted in a college, which is why I chose Calvin, a smaller denominational college with academics that are still very strong. Consider seriously what kind of atmosphere you want before you choose Wheaton.

I’ve heard good things about Gordon and Westmont, but I don’t know much about them unfortunately. Choose Grove City if you want the least expensive alternative.

K thanks for pointing that out.
Is Gove City the lowest of the 4 then?

In terms of price, yes. Not necessarily in terms of academic or other quality features. I don’t know much about any but Wheaton, so I can’t really say how Grove City would compare.

k.
Anyone else know the pros/cons on the others?

by the way im planning on majoring in engineering.

There is a specific thread that will offer some opinions of these, especially GCC and Wheaton. Check it out.

Thanks Whistle Pig.
Your posts on that thread were very helpful and informative

My son chose Calvin College over Wheaton. He LOVES it! They have a great engage-the-world mentality that many Christian colleges don’t have, plus great academics.

Yea, Calvin’s definitely a terrific school. Wish they’d do a bit more w/ their campus.

Ya, ive been looking into Calvin as all the others besides GCC have 3-2 engineering programs.
I’ve heard they are the best christian engineering school?
