Hi everyone,
So I'm one credit short of English. I am just finishing junior year, and I can either take an English course during the summer, or I can take two English courses during senior year.
However, I am going to pursue business in college, and unless I take Pre-Calculus during the summer, I will not be able to take AP Calculus AB in senior year. So, what do you recommend: taking Pre-Calculus in summer school so I can take AP Calculus in senior year, but I also have to take 2 English courses OR taking the English course in summer school and taking just one English course during senior year, as well as Pre-Calculus and AP Statistics.
Which one do you think would make me more competitive for admissions?

As long as you complete precalculus by high school graduation and are ready to take calculus in college, you should be fine – business majors only need to take a year of calculus (and often have the option of an easier “calculus for business majors” course, although high school AP calculus AB is also easier due to being slower paced).

English in the summer, precalc during the year. :)

What schools are you aiming at? Top level schools really love to see AP Calc senior year, not really necessary for your average state flagship. The AP Calc class may open a few more doors, but pre-calc in summer may be unnecessarily intense depending on where you want to go.
