Which of these schools give money?

I need to know which of these schools that I am applying to gives the most money. Please go through the list and let me know.

GW
Georgetown
American
UMD College Park
Michigan Anne Arbor
NYU
Fordham
Columbia
Towson?

I would think Columbia grants the most need-based aid of those schools. You can download the Common Data Set for each school and analyze section H to get a clearer idea (Google “Common Data Set” + school name). The CDS indicates the total amount of aid granted, the average need-based and merit-based awards, the number of recipients, and more.

Another resource is the Kiplinger’s rankings of best value colleges. Their tables show average costs after need-based and merit aid.

What really matters is not which school grants the most aid, but which one is likely to have the lowest out-of-pocket costs for a person in your situation (your level of need, whether you are in-state or out-of-state for the public schools, and so forth). Then you have to weigh the different costs, and your ability to pay, against the value you think each one delivers.

Need-based aid or non-need-based aid? That’s the question.

If it’s need-based aid you’re looking for, Columbia is your best bet.

If it’s non-need-based aid you want, I know that UMich offers some scholarships, but they’re highly competitive. I’d need to see your stats to determine if you’re eligible.

If you need aid of any sort, NYU is the worst. Really, they have horrible FA lol.

I echo the sentiments regarding Colombia. Probably one of the better ones on your list with regard to giving aid.

You can scratch off NYU because a) they’re not known for their generosity and b) the debt isn’t worth the money to attend even if you do get in.
