<p>UC's give decent aid, if you qualify-
Cal Grants & Pell Grants & some university $ plus half loans, but it depends on your EFC
Also, there are Regent's & Chancellors & Alumni scholarships.</p>
<p>sonic - you need to clarify whether you're looking at need-based or merit. There are many threads on what % of need schools meet, and within that, how they do it (grant vs. loan vs. work-study). If it's merit you're looking for, it will depend on where you stand in the applicant pool. If it's need, your standing may affect how the mix of $ is worked out.</p>
<p>From our experience and that of our friends, not CMU. (I thought I already added this, but maybe not?) Of course, everything is relative, and I can only say this relative to other colleges' offers. Perhaps you will have better luck.</p>
