Does anyone here know if SUNY Oswego has a good acceptance rate into top graduate programs that are on the national rankings? (I’m talking about Business schools or Liberal Arts & Science studies, but since Oswego doesn’t seem to have the “well-reputated” prestige as other SUNYs and Top Private schools).

Anyone glad to answer me, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.

Brockport “vs.” Plattsburgh “vs.” Oswego for broadcast journalism. idk, i need help on what to pick. i want to be in a good communications school, yet a great college town…

^I don’t know what Brockport and Plattsburgh are like, but I’ve lived in Oswego for 18 years and if you’re looking for a “great college town,” I don’t think you’ll find it here. It’s boring as all hell.

I’ve visited Oswego numerous times and grew up in and attended Brockport. Oswego is probably the MOST sociable SUNY school and Brockport is definitely the better academic school of the 2. Academics I would rank Brockport>Osweg>Oneonta. I believe Oswego has the better communications program of the 3 though.

According to this year’s US News and World report, Oneonta is ranked #41 for Northern Regional Colleges, Oswego#61 and Brockport #68. Oneonta is definitely more competitive than Oswego and Brockport in terms of admissions.
