UMass-Amherst Honors, Northeastern, U of Delaware, U of Connecticut or U of New Hampshire. I am currently undecided but will probably do something with science or engineering. Not sure yet.

Knowing nothing about you or your interests- Honors

What do you need to know about me just tell me and I'll post it.

Well, my first choice was UDel but they gave me only $7,500. UConn I haven't visited and they are giving me 14,000 and I'm going to visit it on the 14th. U of New Hampshire is my last choice but they are giving me 19,000. UMass- Amherst Honors and Northeastern are tied and I haven't recieved their financial aid packages.

wait until you get all your financial aid info, and then go back for some revisits.
What does your "gut" tell you?

My gut tells me U of Delaware but it costs 30,000 and I only got 7,500 of financial aid. Should I still go for it?

Go with your gut. If it costs you an extra $0k over four years, it's more important that you are happy than not.

Go to UConn! Are you out of state? You got 14,000, that's quite a bit and is something to consider. Additionally, was that award mostly merit-based or need-based? If it was merit, then that would mean you got into UConn Honors as well?

It was need based and I'm from NYC so I'm out of state. I will visit UConn on the 14th so maybe that will change my mind.

bump it up.

uconn or UNH. not Umass unless you want to party 24 7. at UNH and Uconn you can party too but it is a little more prestigious at those colleges.

Umass amherst
definately

Delaware's a great school. See if you prefer it after revisiting your options, chat with your parents about finances, and go with the school that feels right to you.

amherst honors

can people tell me why i should choose umass-amherst honors

udel has a really good science/math program, the valedictorian from my brothers school (huuge) who's motto was "i invented math" went there to study science

Amherst Honors!

I honestly don't think UMass Amherst is a great choice. Especially if you're doing engineering, UConn has a great science and engineering program.

Why has no one chosen Northeastern? Just wondering. So far my top choices are UConn and UDel, Northeastern is close by and UNH and UMass Amherst Honors are right behind.

I'm a software engineer who has worked at a number of companies that employed student interns from the computer science program at Northeastern. I can tell you with absolute certainty that NE is doing an outstanding job educating their engineers. Plus, most students have full-time offers waiting for them when they graduate. Obviously you have to consider the financial component, but on the pure merits of the program I would definitely go with Northeastern. Plus, you're right in Boston, if you want to see live music or attend any of the many cultural events available to you.

Best of luck with your decision.
