which one is better Iowa State Univ. or San Jose State Univ.?

I am majoring in Chemical Engineering. I am from California. but I consider Iowa state because I heard it is easy to get scholarship/grant in Iowa. I also want to experience living in the midwest =)

I just want to make sure if It is worth it going to Iowa State instead of San Jose State.

Thanks.

any feedback plz?

Iowa State is the overal better school i believe, although i don't know for Chem Eng.

I have no knowledge about SDSU. However, an acquaintance who has a great business career at a large and well known multimedia company is a proud ISU alumna. She's in Chicago and is on the fast trak at her firm. ISU attracts a lot of applicants from the Chicago region. She was an overachiever who earned a scholarship from a New England prep school and chose ISU because of the very lucrative scholarship offer it provided and because it was within an easy drive of her hometown.

I'm a student at ISU...don't know much about Chemical Engineering to be specific (I'm in business), but I do know that our Engineering dept has a great track record and reputation around the Midwest and probably other parts of the country, I'm not sure. My brother and some of my friends are in various engineering specializations here and love going to class each day. If you want to know anything about student life or sports or workload (don't know much about engineering though), shoot me a PM or ask on here. Glad to help :)

Thanks for the feedback..

any more feedback?

Okie Dokie, I'll repersent SJSU.
SJSU is very good at CS/CE (I think it's ranked #1 in some rankings). It's located near the Silicon Valley, so you'll get hired very quickly and easily. If you plan on living/staying in the Silicon Valley, you could go buy a house there right now and not worry about little ass dorms. Tuition will be significantly cheaper at SJSU because you're a California resident, and not a Iowa resident. Ummm.... you don't need to move that far away.... Is SFSU not an option?
