Is double majoring in Aerospace eng and Astronomy more impressive than majoring in Quantum Physics and Astronomy for grad school (PHD in Astronomy?)

More impressive? Neither is impressive if you do poorly. How about majoring in what you want to, not what you think adcoms will like? The coursework is much more important than the words on your diploma.

The SMART move is to focus 100% on your interest (astronomy). Then use every available time on undergraduate research in astronomy. The more time you can allocate towards undergrad research, the better.

A great research experience will get you into a very good school. Grades, GRE scores are secondary. Multiple majors don’t even matter.

Just be focused on what you want to accomplish.

Now in instances where a person wants to study international business, it’ll help having a secondary major in the languages. But not in your case. Research experience is the most important factor.

Good luck.
