Which one is the best for economics major?

Which one has the best economics & math program (not overall academics)?

Smith College

Sarah Lawrence College

Conneticut College

Hampshire College

Thx

Smith, no doubts about it. One piece of info: Smith is ranked 17th of all LACs in terms of publications in economics journals (Source: “Economic Research at National Liberal Arts Colleges: School Rankings”). Besides, it is an AWESOME school, with very, very strong math and econ departments. Next in line would be Conn College, then Sarah Lawrence.

I’m not sure about Hampshire. Their econ department looks pretty weak based on the profs I saw online, but their math is strong, I think.

yeah smith is a good school. so is conn college. sarah lawrence i envision as a very hippie-ish school, that emphasizes english and literature, and so i don’t think of it as very math-y but these are just impressions. i don’t know anything about hampshire

wow. thx for the reply. I will definitely apply for Smith & Conn College.

I wonder which of those two is the hardest one to get into. Sure Smith has a higher rank and supposed to be harder to get into, but Conn Coll only accepted about 29 transfer student each academic year, while Smith accepted 80 students every Fall.

i’ve just finished my essay for conn coll. Can anyone read it (esp. those of you who are good with grammar)?
