rsxwheee - where did you get your information?

Not at all. And don’t you dare put words into my “mouth.”

My point is plain and simple: A major’s worth is not defined by how difficult it is.

If you twist my words for your purposes again I will report you to the mods.

I agree with DougBetsy.

Just because Communication Studies may seem more simple to you, BrownBear, does not mean it is less valuable. Why should a person interested in entering the world of communication - including Public Relations, Radio, Television, Film, or continuing on to law school - take four years of the courses that your narrow mind believes define “college”? They shouldn’t. There is a certain type of person who enters the academic field of Communication, and for them, it is a perfect fit. Within this, do not begin to think it is for those who are less capable.

Next year, I will be attending the School of Communication within Northwestern University. I cannot speak for communication departments within “average” or small, local state schools. However, I do know that my parents’ money will be put to incredible use by gaining me an education in one of the best institutes available for my area of interest.

Do not judge the communication major. Their interests are different from yours. That doesn’t make them less than you.
