which one should I choose, george washington university or lafayette college?

Hey!
I am an international student applying this year in the ED1 and I don’t know which university should I put in my ED1, lafayette or syracuse?
I got a 27 act, 32 maths - 31 science - 27 english - 19 reading( I know my reading score sucks but English is not my first language. I took an English proficiency test ( IELTS) and I got a very high score on it. I scored 97th percentile on the STEM portion on the ACT.

I have very strong recommendation letters as well as impressing extracirricular activites. I participated in many science fairs. Also, I am a football player, basketball player, handball player and swimmer and I will take a recommendation letter from my coach.
I have a GPA of 4 and I am the students’ union president for 2 consecutive years, actually grade 10 and 11.
I will need financial aid, a lot of financial aid.
I am applying to mechanical engineering.
I am the only one applying from my school.
Which one should I choose? which one will give me the most aid? which one do I have the highest chance getting in?

With a 27 ACT it may be difficult to get into Lafayette especially if you need a lot of aid. Can you find some schools known for generous aid that will be a good match or safety for yourself.

I didn’t find any school that are generous and match my score @citymama9 Do u have any suggestions ?

Start by googling; “Colleges that are generous with financial aid for international students”. Then when you have the list you can go to each school’s website to see the average admissions stats. You want a school where your 27 falls in the range of admitted students in order to give yourself the best chances.
